Fully autonomous, the journal operates without external sponsorship and is maintained solely through the voluntary work of its contributors.

Focus and Objectives of the InovaEducaTech Journal

The InovaEducaTech Journal primarily aims to promote the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge, standing out as an interdisciplinary dialogue space among the fields of education, engineering, and computing. The journal values research that explores methodological innovations, advanced pedagogical practices, development of educational technologies, and applied technological solutions.

Its main objectives are:

Publication Policy

The journal operates on a continuous flow basis, receiving and reviewing submissions from January to December each year. The publication frequency varies between 2 to 3 issues per year, depending on the number of articles submitted and approved throughout the editorial process.

Access Policy and Article Processing Charges (APC)

While the InovaEducaTech Journal aims to offer an inclusive and accessible platform, an Article Processing Charge (APC) may be applied solely to cover minimal operational costs, such as the assignment of DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to accepted articles, ensuring their indexing and traceability.

The APC will be a maximum of R$ 35.00 (taxes included), applied only to accepted articles, and charged once.
No profit is retained by the journal; any charges are solely to ensure the sustainability of the publication.

This practice reinforces our commitment to the democratization of knowledge, offering clarity and transparency to authors and collaborators.

In some cases, there may be an exemption from charging the APC fee, such as socioeconomic vulnerability.

Peer Review Process

The journal adopts a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and fairness in the evaluation of submitted works. The process is carried out in the following detailed stages:

  1. Manuscript Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts via the journal’s online platform, following established editorial guidelines.

  2. Initial Screening: The editor-in-chief assesses whether the article meets the basic criteria of scope, quality, and formatting.

  3. Reviewer Assignment: Two reviewers with expertise in the article’s thematic area are assigned. Identities of authors and reviewers are kept anonymous.

  4. Reviewer Evaluation: Reviewers assess scientific relevance, originality, clarity, methodology, and reference adequacy. Detailed feedback is provided, including recommendations for acceptance, revision, or rejection.

  5. Editorial Decision: Based on reviewer feedback, the editor-in-chief communicates the final decision to the authors, which may include:

    • Acceptance: The article is approved for publication.

    • Revision: Authors are asked to make suggested changes and resubmit for further review.

    • Rejection: The article is declined with clear justifications.

  6. Final Review and Publication: Upon approval, the article is revised for final formatting and prepared for online publication.

2. Self-Archiving and Sharing
Authors are free to:

Deposit pre-print versions (before peer review), post-print versions (after review) or the final published version in institutional, thematic or personal repositories;

Share articles on academic networks (e.g. ResearchGate, Academia.edu), digital libraries and social media, as long as they mention the original publication with a full citation and link to the journal website.
